This painted steel 8-quart oil pan is for 1955-79 Small Block Chevrolet engines with driver-side dipstick, except for 1962-67 Chevy II and V8 Vega/Monza.

Designed for street-performance machines that occasionally see some track time. This oil pan is modified with a Deep Sump with a depth of 10-3/4” for increased capacity that will improve oil control under hard acceleration and run cooler. It is designed for a simple bolt-on installation in production chassis. With a Deep Sump oil pan you will get improved oil control over stock pans because of their increased capacity. Usually deep sumps are specially baffled with a swinging trap door that keeps oil contained in the pickup area to prevent oil starvation under hard acceleration.


· Extra deep sump increases capacity to 8 quarts, which reduces oil temperature and insures adequate oil supply in vehicles where ground clearance is not a problem

· Trap-door baffling allows oil to flow "one way" into the pickup area — and keeps it there

· Works with most starter/flywheel combinations
