Don’t fire up that engine without pre-lubing (priming) it thoroughly with oil.  It’s a special hardened steel priming shaft that fits on any 3/8” or larger drill.  Insert shaft into hole where distributor fits.  Pressurizes oil galley to ensure against dry starts and ruining your engine.  Fits all V8 engines.
